Terms & legal use.
Last updated: August 29, 2026.
1. Compatibility
Services are subject to compatibility confirmation based on the exact vehicle or machine, engine, ECU hardware, software version, available interface and intended use. A brand or model shown in the catalog does not guarantee support for every configuration.
2. Customer authorization
The customer confirms that they own the equipment or have permission from the owner to request diagnostics, programming or calibration work and to provide the related files and identification data.
3. Portal accounts and security
Customers must protect their credentials, use accurate account information and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Sharing accounts, attempting to access another customer's job, bypassing token or download controls, probing the service, or uploading malicious content is prohibited.
4. File submission and engineering review
Submitting an original ECU file does not guarantee acceptance and does not automatically consume tokens. HEAVYTUNING may inspect the file, request identification or supporting evidence, decline unsupported work, or assign a job-specific token price. The customer must retain a verified original backup before using any delivered file.
5. Token wallet, payments and unlocks
Tokens are portal service credits, not currency and not a bank balance. A completed result is charged once when the customer confirms the quoted unlock. Before purchasing, contact HEAVYTUNING if you need the cancellation or refund treatment for a particular package. Refund eligibility depends on provider status, whether credits were spent or engineering began, applicable law and any written job-specific agreement. Tokens are not transferable unless HEAVYTUNING expressly approves it. Provider checkout remains subject to Stripe or PayPal terms when enabled.
6. Emissions and regulated systems
Any work involving emissions-control or other regulated systems is offered only for lawful applications. Depending on local law, permitted applications may include off-road, competition, export, research or test use. The customer is responsible for confirming the law, classification and intended use before requesting service.
7. Safe working conditions
The customer must provide stable vehicle voltage, reliable hardware, the correct interface and safe access to the equipment. Programming should not begin when batteries, wiring, network connection, read data or hardware are unstable.
8. Existing condition and backups
The customer must disclose previous modifications, failed programming attempts, hardware faults and existing damage. Hardware defects cannot always be corrected through software, and a delivered file does not replace mechanical or electrical diagnosis.
9. Estimates and timing
Prices and time estimates depend on the actual case. Delays may occur because of identification issues, weak connections, corrupted files or modules, additional faults, payment-provider availability or third-party service interruptions.
10. Downloads and customer copies
Portal storage encryption protects files while held by the server. After download, the customer is responsible for securing local copies, limiting access, verifying the shown fingerprint when appropriate, and applying the file only to the confirmed ECU and equipment configuration.
11. Refunds and disputes
Payment and refund eligibility must be confirmed before work starts. Completed file processing or remote work may be non-refundable once delivered or unlocked, except where required by law, where the delivered work does not match the agreed scope, or where HEAVYTUNING agrees otherwise.
12. Warranty limitations
Any service warranty applies only to the delivered work and stated configuration. It does not cover unrelated mechanical or electrical faults, later software changes, unauthorized modification, incorrect installation, poor maintenance or operation outside intended limits.
13. Trademarks
Brand names used on the website and portal identify compatibility only. HEAVYTUNING is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the listed manufacturers unless explicitly stated.
14. Acceptance
Creating an account, submitting a job or purchasing tokens confirms acceptance of the agreed scope, these terms, the portal privacy notice and any job-specific conditions communicated before work begins.
